Dr. Bowers graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Biomedical Science and attended Podiatry school at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. He did a surgical residency at Dallas Southwest Medical Center and is Board Qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.

Dr. Bowers was President of the Dallas County Podiatric Medical Society for 2004 - 2005. He is the Governor's appointed podiatric representative for Texas on the Worker's Compensation Medical Advisory Committee. Dr. Bowers is on the approved doctor's list and is a level two physician with Worker's Compensation. He also performs designated doctor exams.

Dr. Bowers specializes in and lectures extensively on wound care and treatment of the diabetic foot. In addition, he has participated in several reserach studies. He is married and his wife is a podiatrist in private practice as well as visits assisted living facilities.
